First and foremost, I am a prior service Marine. Though my time spent in the Corps isn't really worth talking about, I came away from that institution with a profound sense of camaraderie. We adapted the phrase Gung Ho which means work together. Officers and enlisted both share equal responsibility and work together to acheive common goals.
The Marine Corps also instills in each Marine a code that makes each individual and each group completely responsible for their actions and teaches us to put everything we have into everything we do.
Ooh Rah!!
I developed a love for Physics, Astronomy and History when I was a wee lad.
Over the years I have paid more attention to the philosophical side of science rather than the mathematical. I found it more exciting to try and figure out why certain things are deemed absolutes when there are clearly many other tangible possiblities to consider. Asking 'What if...? is the prevalent question in that endeavor.
I was a late bloomer when it came to the desire to go back to school. I majored in Quantum Physics, but didn't finish my degree. The reason for it I will not discuss here. However, I will say that life has a funny way of pushing us in directions that we sometimes cannot foresee.
I grew up on the left coast in San Diego, but currently reside in Kansas.

READER COMMENTS ABOUT ONCE UPON A TIME: RETRIBUTION
Jack Roberts, radio host at Cable Radio Network in Los Angeles comments: “Jack Lawrence has authored a fascinating and enthralling science fiction yarn in his new book. I could not put this book down…I was up until past midnight last night to finish it.”
Colorado Springs ophthalmological assistant Theresa Herbert declares, “What I liked about ONCE UPON A TIME was how it kept hold of my attention. It was a very easy read and took me to another very interesting place for a while. I am not much of a sci-fi reader, but I enjoyed this one very much.”
Something to think about
There is too much hype about Aliens building the Pyramids, too much hype about Flying saucers and too much hype about pretty much anything that can’t be readily explained by a third grade teacher.
How about this instead of aliens?
What if the ancient Egyptians or the Mayans or any other ancient race, didn’t build their pyramids? Instead what if they rebuilt them and then claimed them as their own design? Imagine that.
It’s possible that an advanced ancient civilization dominated the Earth many millennia before recorded history. Our ancestors, not aliens.
Think of it this way. If there were a global catastrophe that wiped out 99% of all human life, who do you know that could replicate, from scratch, the technology that we depend on and what are the chances that they would survive? Even so, the three main needs for life would need to be met first 1)food, 2)shelter and 3)water. (For those of you that disagree with the order, you’re the kind of person that really should be looking at alternatives to the alien theory as well. The rest of you know that they are not necessarily in their order of importance. Otherwise the three would be all numbered as 1). Once those were stabilized then we could find the time to try and reproduce some of our technology. I for one would have no idea how to build a computer from the elements of the earth. We would have to start over. Unless of course we were to find something that survived the cataclysm, then we may use it and try to reverse engineer it, but it would definitely take time.
At the turn of the 20th century, yeah that’s the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s, we were still riding horses for transportation and depending upon kerosene and oil lamps for lighting. Navigation was done by the stars or dead reckoning. Now, most of the world’s knowledge is available in the palm of your hand via the iphone and other such devices.
Having an advanced knowledge and the desire to preserve some of their information, a Pyramid is the perfect geometric shape to do that. It is strong, stable and capable of withstanding the attack of time.
Along come the ancients and they see these giant structures and they marvel at them and wonder what the heck they are for. Then someone spreads the rumor that they were built by the Gods. Gods? And build an entire civilization based upon them. Even creating headdresses that emulate the giant rock sculpture of the lion more commonly known as the Sphynx. As a king you could tell everyone what to say and think and write. You could rebuild the Pyramids and make them an Icon to be worshipped and revered even change the face of the Lion to look like a man. Nah power doesn’t corrupt.
There is always more than one answer to every question. It just depends upon which answer fits your original question the best. Just don’t forget about the others because you may be asking the wrong question in the first place.
I understand why some ideas are accepted over others and also why Aliens are thought of as being the helpers or promoters or keystones for anything that is unexplainable. The easy road is most commonly taken.
Accepting any answer as an absolute is foolish even if it is the obvious choice.
Just something to think about.

Ever wonder about the giant canyon on Mars?
It looks to me to be more like an impact scrape than any form of erosion or plate movement. Beginning from right to left as seen in the picture above, the scrape mark would have stopped about halfway along and then could have been eroded by the water that is supposed to have been plentiful on Mars in its distant past.
Anyone that has ever thrown a ball in the street has seen the same kind of scrape marks on the ball.
Maybe this is what killed Mars.
I wonder if Mars' moons fit together like jigsaw puzzle pieces.
